of Use.

These terms apply when you use the Bandmakers app to book and manage music lessons. By creating an account you agree to them.

Who can use it

Anyone can have their own account. If you are under 18, you provide a parent or guardian's phone number or email when you sign up, and they approve the account — after that it is yours, with your own login. A parent or guardian can also hold the account themselves and add their child to it; both arrangements are fine.

Academy staff sign in with separate accounts issued by the academy. Those accounts are for academy business only.

What the app is

The app is how you book lessons, see your schedule, check in at a branch, read your teacher's feedback and manage your account. The lessons themselves happen at a Bandmakers branch or, where arranged, at your home — the app arranges them, it does not deliver them.

Booking a lesson

• A lesson is 45 minutes unless stated otherwise.
• A booking is confirmed once payment is settled. Until then it is held, and the app tells you which state it is in.
• A day only opens if enough students are booked onto it. If your booking is below that threshold it is held rather than confirmed, and we will contact you.
• Some instruments require an assessment lesson for younger children before regular lessons begin. The app tells you when this applies; the academy makes the final decision.

Changing or cancelling

• One free reschedule per calendar month.
• One free make-up lesson per calendar month.
• Cancelling on the day of the lesson is always charged, whether or not you have used your free allowance. The teacher and the room are already committed.
• A reschedule must land on a teacher at the same rate. Moving to a higher-rate teacher is a new booking at that rate.

Prices and payment

• Prices are in Egyptian Pounds and are shown before you confirm.
• What a lesson costs depends on the teacher's rate and the branch. The app shows the price for the specific lesson you are booking.
• Discounts do not stack. Where more than one applies — a second instrument, or a second child — the larger one applies, not both added together.
• Payment is taken through our payment provider, in cash, or at reception. Payments for lessons, books and merchandise are for real-world goods and services delivered by the academy.

Attendance and check-in

You check in by scanning the QR code at your branch when you arrive. You cannot check in before your lesson starts, and if you arrive late you can still check in for the remainder of the slot. A lesson you do not attend without cancelling in time is charged.

Things you upload

You can upload a photo, a video of playing, and performance clips. You keep ownership of what you upload. By uploading it you allow the academy to store it and show it to the staff who teach or administer your lessons.

Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, anything containing another person who has not agreed to it, or anything unlawful or offensive. We may remove anything that breaks this and, in serious cases, close the account.

Using the app properly

Do not try to access another person's account or data, interfere with the service, or use it to harass anyone. Staff accounts and their permissions are for academy business, and misuse of one may end that person's access.

Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Delete account. It removes your personal records, your children's records and your uploaded files. Payment records are kept because Egyptian tax law requires it — the app says so before you confirm.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

What we do and do not promise

We work to keep the app accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Where the app and the academy's own records disagree, the academy's records are the authority — tell us and we will correct it.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Egyptian consumer law.

Changes

If we change these terms we will update the date above and, for anything significant, tell you in the app.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
