This policy explains what the Bandmakers app collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the iPhone and Android app and the services behind them.
The short version. We collect what we need to teach music lessons and take bookings — who you are, who your children are, when their lessons are, and what you have paid. We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Bandmakers Music Academy operates this app and is responsible for the information in it. For anything in this policy, or to exercise any right described below, contact us at contact@bandmakers.net.

If you add a child so lessons can be booked for them, we collect their name, date of birth, playing level, instrument and previous experience, and optionally a photo. Your child's teacher also writes progress notes after lessons — a performance rating, homework, and the grade they are working towards.
Accounts belong to adults. A child does not have their own login and cannot sign in. Everything about a child is added by their parent or guardian, is visible only to that parent and to academy staff who teach or administer their lessons, and is deleted when you delete your account or remove the child.
If you believe we hold information about a child without a parent or guardian having provided it, email contact@bandmakers.net and we will delete it.
You can add a profile photo, a short video of yourself or your child playing so a teacher can judge the right level, and clips from performances. If you apply for a job through the app, we store the CV you attach. Nothing is uploaded unless you pick it and send it. These files are visible to you and to academy staff. They are not public and they are not shared with anyone else.
Which lessons you booked, which were attended, missed, rescheduled or cancelled, and the amounts due and paid.
We never see or store your card details. Card payments are handled by our payment provider, who processes the card and tells us only whether the payment succeeded and a reference number. Payments made in cash or at reception are recorded by staff as an amount only.
If you turn on notifications, we store a push token for your device so we can send you lesson reminders. You can turn this off at any time in the app or in your phone's settings, and it is off until you switch it on.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and the app contains no advertising or third-party analytics. We do not use your information, or your child's, to train any automated system.
Only where it is needed to run the service:
We keep your account information for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account we remove your personal records, your children's records, your uploaded photos and videos, and we cancel any live subscriptions.
We keep payment records after deletion — Egyptian tax law requires us to. Those records show amounts, dates and references. They are not used for anything else.
Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Sign-in tokens are held in your phone's secure keychain rather than ordinary storage. Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted. Staff access is limited by role, and every request is checked on the server rather than trusted from the app.
No system is perfect. If we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we will tell you.
Our servers and storage are operated by Cloudflare and may be processed in data centres outside Egypt. The same protections in this policy apply wherever it is held.
If we change it we will update the date at the top, and for anything significant we will tell you in the app.
